Dr. LaShay Harvey, Education & Learning Principal at Creation Stories Studio and learning partner for Horizon Foundation. Dr. Harvey is a master facilitator, with 24 years of experience having “hard conversations.” Throughout her personal and professional career, LaShay has learned that the proverbial classroom can be a site of extreme transformation as well as trauma. To that end she prioritizes creating environments for learning that involve truth-telling, authenticity, accountability, reflection, and celebration. Dr. Harvey is a PhD-trained sexologist and has championed the inclusion of stories from sexual minorities (i.e. single mothers, single fathers, LGBTQIAA+ folx, the disabled, the elderly) when considering educational curricula, policy, and knowledge acquisition.
